Ash & 13 still has without effect I saw the sun rise over where we were going, headed for the [illegible] & held it until I came to a hillside. It was a pair of a wild heavy hard horn. The other yesterday had no hard horns projecting beyond the short curved bases. There was a white animal but I got breeding to suppose. In the early morning I went with A to the same place as far back right to hunt for roroukaps. We were fifty Macaques at the bridge near the village & fired several shots, I there did trap no one. Later A shot a gy & serow from the cliffs below the joint when I saw something yet. The serow was quite black & dark darker than those I have seen but this may be due to a growth of spring pelage. The stomach contained both grass & leaves of bushes.
