(5) On the morning I saw moorhens on this side of the river where I had 2 wolf traps. Also, I was the only one hunting today & bogged a good in the PM from across the river. I shot her the first shot at 30 yds then the shoulder & she rolled down hill dead. 1 or 2 more were seen missed. (6) This morning I saw a moorhen on the same spot where I shot my first one. This no excepted in the rush. Later I saw a good at the cleft passed that. I seem on the way home I shot a clif moorhens whick flew near same as 4 some hushers. She was a small females endow with a arrow stomach. With her stomach contained grass of leaves & twigs of Alderon Birch; no grass. This after glnoon we had a heavy thunder shower which lasted for two hours but at 4 PM, it had ceased & went out across the river along the road & spied out goral's. I saw one in
