"Kept us from leaving until 9 A.M. Rain continued & Mist was prevalent, after climbing out of the pass, we had a long descent thru cleared open hill down to the Shweli which we could see winding thru the valley for Belmar Village with groups of shade trees almost been could be seen dotting the plain. To the north on the Belmar Divide path grasses could be seen on some high spools much to my surprise. This is the 4 or foot peak of what I called Davis' sharp & Bonero's South. Our camp was well arrived at 7:00 x 1:00 p.m. will hold soon in this season. Thus now named back for 2 days which is quite a good performance for this time of year. Have no doubt this is the beginning of the rains at 11 A.M. we crossed the chain suspension bridge across the Shweli River."}
