30 The day was spent on
a wild goose chase for a
shooting camp all the 1st
of April was still 2 days airance.
The Shan chiefly Hring-chen sent
two soldiers as guides to a place
he said was good hunting but when
I arrived we found it in deep
mine or rather which for some
miles was clothed by dense
primival forest growing on
steep a slope that machines
could not cultivate the land
of road allowed the forest stand.
This spot was high up with min
of the Silveen valley 300 feet
above it being then 1500 we
descended from here I found
ourselves near our starting
point at darkeness but on
way to Ho-mu - See. The
