Near creeks + wet spots. 10 Oak - live - Abundant forming forests at base of mtn. on rocky hillsides, at 9,000 feet. 11 ash - ? A small tree with prostrate foliage scattered thin forest from 9,000 to 11,000 feet. 12 Rhododendron - Tree - a large tree like form seen in graves at 13,000 feet amid live or bamboo under growth 13 Rhododendron - shrubs - many small species seen at all elevations 14 - Berberis - red berries - Common meadows at 12,000 feet.
