We stopped for lunch on the creek margin at Plite Spring (North Hotfield). It cleared up & I began roaming on the ridge, considering the valley but we travelled on. Stopped at dark in a sunstorm some 3 hrs. from the village. We pitched camp in a grove of pines but shadows seem 'd to set us back before darkness fell. The approach to Plite Spring is quite picturesque leading down a level road to some water wheels (flour mills) on the edge of the village. High above it, left our sharp pointed hill sets which Temple apparently held their high place at only 10m brought oranges, plums & peaches in the market for sale & The mufas brought beans for their mule's rice for their own larder as well as pork.
