Chines of Shangla: After leaving Chos, then we travelled down the valley than solid rice fields & didn't get a view of Tolai lake until rounding a hill & starting the the south shore. The great summer rains (4000 feet high) was hard in clouds, villages hidden partly by trees, once settled on the plain bordering the lake whilst the land is ploughed to rice. Many streams flow down from mountains on the west side of the lake to give almost a hundred miles for rice cultivation. The road runs some 2 miles back from the lake
