front from the ancient
Spanish walls of the city
is laid out in a beautiful
park somewhat lawn covered
with the sunela or circular
driving way in the center.
three hotels surround
the whole. I have seen
nowhere in the tropics a
better or more sanitary
city. The people etc or
motives show no disease
practically there are
few cripple or beggars seen
in the city. The usual
work conveyance here is
a small headed dog cart
drawn by a pony called
a calesa . This peculiar
to the country & driven by a
native + fairly well goted boy.
