Weather foggy cold.
The road followed up the
Tas Kripa (to river) to its
source where we reached
a small village on the cross
road called Ta-fu-sson
where the people were greatly
disturbed by a robbery which had just
occurred an hour previously
on the road. Account of 40 robbers
attacked a caravan of 8 mules
& ten makhfun & stole
ten bales of goods.
The men
of the caravan were ahead of
Jado northwards. They
left several loads of gummi
which is also valuable at
left the remainder. The
place where the attack was
made was shown with
boards of wooden material
& proper. We then met the
chief muleteer who was
in tears & had his arms
bandaged & was much
