Hayson Albatross (Diomedea immutabilis)
March 6
Two birds following the ship at a distance of ½ to
1 mile for most of the day.
March 7
March 8 Nihoa Island
2 birds flying around ship at daybreak. 1 loafs
on island - south side
March 10 Necker Island
About 600 birds with 150-200 nestings to ½ grown.
Those birds were nesting mostly along the ridge but a few
were also found on some of the rock shelves down the sides of
the cliffs and slopes. No eggs were found.

chicks - 339, all stages, no eggs
