Hockman, C.D. 1965 February 1+2 Howland Island Summary 8 Sooty Terns and 1 Blue-faced Booby were collected as the result of blood sampling. A total of 11259 birds of 10 species, were banded. 236 returns of 5 species. 4 recoveries of birds from 4 species (1 a foreign return). Cyclostomes Collected were collected along the west and south shores by Thompson and Huber. Two Flounders were collected along the south shore by Huber, Thompson Blood sampling: 20 Sooty Tern, 10 Blue-f. Booby, 10 Short-tailed Finches No other collections were made. Bandings: Adult Sub. Nest. Imm. Return Recovery Blue-F.
