Pelé of Martinique that the similarity in origin of the two cones, as brought out in my deleted articles on the Caribbees in 1903 and 1904 (Ref.) seems to be fully established and was emphasized in my own mind by the present con- dition of the summit of Pelé as observed later in this year's expedition.
