This evening Dr. Hunt gave up and turned in with the stomach ache, apparently too much white-whale skin. Dosed up with peppermint by H.C.P. Norman continues to have great trouble with stiffness, swelling and pain in one leg, but not the one that got frosted. Dr. says that perhaps it is phlebitis - H.C.P. is sure that it is rheumatism.
