Katziats is coming down soon.
Inetliak is going to be confined at
Kiaktek. Kashinguai's wife is Pudtlaki's
sister. We shall miss the family,
and I am sorry to have them go,
but there will be less drain on the ship's
food supply.
[Ootah told me where heare their
they are in his igloo or Keatek]
Mate started and nearly fin-
ished a sledge to take the place of
Pudtlaki's, using one of the planks that
I brought up and a board from the
after house.
Three mile walk alone on bay.
14 April. Friday.
Clear, cloudless, calm except for very light
N. wind drawing across ship at 9 a.m.
Temp. min.-19°; 12m. 0°; 3:30h. -2°; 9 h. -12°
Mate finished his kamalite and the
crew brought in first load of ice in it this morning. Pretty good sledge though.
