We had observed the power - [34]
boat working her way out from
in front of Peter's house around
the west east side of the bay and
EK had hurried in order to get
the seal cut up before the boat
should arrive, so that he might
divide the meat according to
his own ideas and not accord-
ing to the Eskimo custom, which
accords certain parts to those
who help skin and cut up.
Egingwah entered into EK's wish
and the way he wrestled was
surprising, as was also the skill
with which he severed the joints
with his knife.
Shortly after midnight the "In-
gerlis" left for the Carglands with
Peter & Koch.
