Wore Kooltah, which protected my face from the wind. Captain Corner furnished some ex- citement this morning at break- fast. He took Lizzie, We-We's 8-2mo. old baby, in his arms as usual and sat down again at table, but the legs of the chair spread apart and let him down gently onto his back on the floor. His only con- cern was for the child, but she was not hurt, only scared. Jot said that the Captain's belly rose like a certain round hill near Prov- incetown and that Lizzie was like a little sand dune beside it. We We said that the Captain was trying to get into the oven but was too big. Every body laughed but Captain and Lizzie, and she soon stopped her crying and was all smiles again as usual.
