Spent day mostly on seismograph - all in
shape except the thrust arm already mentioned +
connections with betw. the arms and the
coiling needles, which I have not identified
yet - opened two boxes of Green's books in search
for books on seismology, no success -
but we got two little thermographs, which we
set running at once - This has been a
hot day and so cold that I expect to go onto the
ice tomorrow.
