17 In the western end of the belt is - a transverse dike rises through the whole class of sedimentaries and cuts above their top as a wall. Horizon- tally columnar. Perhaps a mile north of this a dike rises at a very low angle from a sill near the bot- tle of the bluff to a sill 200-250' higher. Seems to show intrusion of all the igneous beds character
