our route to inside Herbert Islands. I sent Captain Corner ashore with K.R. to get measured for a pair of kannas, much against G.P.'s apparent wishes. Narsak is on a plain that looks from the sea to be formed from ten- minal moraine of former glacier. Water in little cove is very shallow and abounds in luxuriant laminarias.
