Rock fragments on snow and ice
are smutting rapidly. They form little
puols about them. Picked a rock
out of its nest & had a refreshing
drink.
Yesterday dog digging has sunk
2 - 3 inches into the snow.
Hand birds - pleasant -

basic (diabase?) dike in the gray hornblende-
biotite gneiss at sea level about 1/2 mile
west of Bigquech in the Bird Cliff.
Sends out stringers into the gneiss
which are rich or less in thickness and
thin out.
