"Boat of Dr Borchersen or the In-
spector, sure to catch the "Hans
Egede" from there. The Captain
of the "Godthauk" tells me that I
am not likely to get to Denmark on
the "Hans Egede", because the Germans
are sure to stop the vessel before she
gets to Copenhagen and take off
any Americans found on board.
Also that if I do get to Denmark, I
cannot take a Danish ship home
in acct of being an American. The
Danish ships in advance of sailing
are obliged to furnish both Ger-
mans and English with full lists
of all persons on board giving the
nationality of each.
