"Bjorneborg" is on the south side of a
small, not very high island of quartz.
Built on a beach which was so
deeply covered with snow at the time
of my visit that I could not tell its
nature whether a raised beach or not.
It was built by the Royal Danish
Trading Co in 1905 as a refuge
for travelers, i.e. Gov. Vinterberg and
also Inspector Lindow spoke of it as having
been 'built by us'.
