Sand bed is 70-80 ft thick as exposed. The sands seem to occupy an embayment in the basal layers I some of the coal is more like charcoal than real coal - like the charcoal at Matiniqua & St. Vincent spec 563-4-5-6 singl.lik coal At least 100 bergs were in view in Disito Bay from top of flight above coal sands 150 to 200 ft above sea
