9 Hawaiian and Common Noddy Both were nesting on Cook Island with eggs and young present. Two bands were recovered from dead Hawaiian Noddies. Fairy Tern They were nesting on Cook Island with young already hatched. Christmas Island Shearwater Seven of these birds were counted on Cook Island and one was on an egg. One band was recorded. Sooty Tern There were several large colonies of Sooties on the main island as well as one on Cook. The young were just ready to fly. Conclusion This report is a generalization of observations made over a 37 day period. More specific facts can be found in my field notes and journal. Respectfully submitted, Robert S.
