Calyxopsis confined to the flower, with a conspic-
ouss growth nearly half its length.

This seems to belong to the section Arthroth-
trum, the only one of the group yet found on
the American continent.
(There seems to be a singular mode of branching
as if the earlier flowers become proflerous & pro-
duced a fascicle of branches)
