A slender grass about 3 feet high having 5 - 10 erect distinct racemes about as long as the sprea, leban num. Spikelts are very thick articulate pedicels very short clustered pilose with hairs as coarse as the spikelts which are articulated by means of a minute naked fulgure ocellar. Spikelts fall yellow quite 2" long - sterile fl. of 1 pulea * with the glume is finely 5 nerved. Hermaph fl. ottuse punctured lute short numerousate. Habitats P. rucensnum nud in Truns Ave. Phil
