Shoots longer than internods similar peduncles & filiform at first - with one leafy joint glaucous, stem - low ones ultimate crowded at the base of culm - ligule short frillstrate - Cymes comosite (many) alms 2 inch long 1-2 line wide or less looking to a somewhat rigid & furget apex - my stipe slightly pubescent above mostly glabrous below - none of the lowermost bracts very short & brimolate middle crest. branching branches somewhat fringed, clawed - sting or the lower fasciated in 2-3 set the true flowers in the apical Spikelets very short pedicellate - 1/2" long. lanceolate almost 10 flowered, red colored - glumes ovate acute slightly 1-nerved - branes smaller - 2/3 length of lower florets - florets lower puber broadely ovate obtuse or subacute - rounded on back - strongly 3-nerved awnless. Upper broadly bicarinate slightly convexed - reduced & equaling the lower. Nerves 3 - Stigmas plumon with branching hairs, Syndromes 2 - truncaite - Paying to Leyque de Sta Maria Gln - Bijelou. 193 Brazil - 169 Murwe long Sta Maria Bijeloue.
