An Elegant grass, the specimens from Janos
are more than a foot high, bearj from
8 - 10 husked purple spikes, the lower of
which are an inch long & many flowered.
It is doubtful if this is the plant of
Leyson's G. irnoides, which Benth. doubtfully
quotes as a synonym of Entrian ripens.
It is however certainly the plant figured in
HBK.

2 rhemph. fl. & a third reduced to a solitary
pedicel - Outer scale of lower fl. 3 fin.
divisions subdivate - 1 of the 27 flowm deeply 3 fin.
central division lifted at apex - all long aristate
the central one longest.
