S. vidua or quite distinct in its longitu- dinally striated hales. My spec: from Dur, otherwise is '5th. N° 48 is Stipa curvirostris Cav: S. uncinata Bl. B. M. var longe aculeata, clear- tinct. from the branching in the hales, hirsute all over. N° 49 is S. viridula H. B. K. Probably a large form of S. carulea & S. spiciflora. N° 49 & 50 are S. spiciflora H. B. K. varying into S. carulea Presl. Cutter No. 1h54! in Mr. Hooker's same. N° 51 is S. pennata? L. Ratter, doubtfully well, the hales hirsute all over. Not in S. pennata & must be new Sp: The lower part of the awn or some a less hirsute than. Judging from a single specimen, I should say it was inter- mediate between S. Pennata and S. Scabiosa. N° 52 is an old specimen of S. spiciflora H. B. K. No. same as 49 & 50. N° 53 is S. tenuissima Poir: seen to S. hystrix, leaves remarkably scabrous. N° 64 is Oryzopsis nov. sp: or perhaps O. micrantha Poir. sub. Mackenz: N° 55 is Stipa viridula.
