Said to occur in mountain forests on n. side of Taveuni;
Bahr says it is said to be "still common" in these districts,
but "driven away" from cultivated places by the "march of
civilization."

Vanua Levu: Kleinschmidt. Finsch says it occurs
on the coast of Somo Somo Strait, on
Vamaa Levu; not from Somo Somo on
Taveuni. Probably a bird of the moun-
tain forests only.
