Fijis: Peale; Calvert; Layard ("from all parts of the group"). Kambara: Townsend. Kandavu: 'Challenger'. Matuku 'Challenger'. Viti Levu; Storck; Williamson; Townsend; Bahr (commonest native bird.) Bahr did not see it on Vanua Mbalavu or on Lekema, but on Oneata he got a much larger species, with white (unbarred) breast; Ticehurst thinks this may be the fully adult of L.pacifica.
