The region does not change from that lake about the lake the grassy valley with two firms along the little stream and a swampy point in the higher ground. This afternoon explored the grass bordering stream below the cliff canyon. The signs (round) were not so common so I laid spragts. My spread to be Stenomyss and the smell changed. The signs were not different so as to warrant a crop of traps to that region. This afternoon 11 natives came into camp for mm and 4 boys. (I did not see them). They accepted gifts and gave in return a few sweet potatoes. They are very friendly, examined camp and returned to the forest. It was also reported by radio today that natives had visited the O'Willamina camp taking pigs and cassowary for which they received a bit of tobacco.
