I do not think this will continue collecting her will be a real pleasure. July 24 Kahloka Lake, Netherlands New Guinea. This morning was beautifully clear, but a cloud over in the early morning late fog was not present. The plane "Yuta" arrived, unloaded its cargo and returned. It is, the arrival of the plane, a common plane thing now expected rather than anticipated. Today my activities centered in the shifting of my tent from its previously low wet location to the high, drier camp of the Cougars. A new awl was put up and it laid in readiness to fix near my tent. This afternoon it began to rain and so little work was done. I straightened things within my tent and painted code. The rain made me feel cold in spite of the work before me. Last night a meteor came across the sky. The morning a wisp of smoke come forth and this afternoon a good deal of smoke could be seen. About 3:00 the afternoon 2 meteors were seen passing along the trail near camp. I do not know through the middle and into the green valley at the east of me.
