This morning (9.30?) Bruce and two of the collectors moved up to the camp above. (At Serre Valley Camp) Note from Archbell says that he is having difficulty finding a good route at the top of Willminia. I hope that he will soon discover one. Some group of 15 or 16 natives along the trail looking from the base of camp rather tired to SC. They would find nothing to do with me except to scream on away from this party. The party consists of men and women both carrying bags and bags of what appeared to be sweet potatoes. The men would not wear my addition "Pap". Willminia) This morning studied traps and prepared specimens, and packed my equipment to move to Serre Valley Camp. At 10:30 AM left camp with my collecting boy Oscar, 2 Dyce carriers (1 for Mickey), and 2 soldiers. He followed the Logon path SC from camp past an unnamed lake and up on a saddle to Serre Valley and camp giving this at 2.30. The camps there is situated at the base of a small path fell at a run the edge of that hill. Everyone has seemed well and happy especially Rand for today he obtained a new species of bird, the first from this camp.
