23 Jan Academy Bay, Santa Cruz Is., Galapagos. saw a pair copulate. I came with wings outspread, fluttering, head high, all body feathers erect, legs tooled I sleeked, bill up, body down, tail up. male after flipped wing towards the f. & posture & wing as such. & sang before 1st copulation, when 3rd, several tries, then silent while mounted; cop. c. 1-2 sec., perched 3rd feet from f, mounted again after 2 songs, cop. 1-2 sec.; I held posture whole time, after second she gave high peterled squeaking sound 1st sec. slowly arose to normal posture; f perched with all feathers fluffed and head very high. wings in, tail straight, legs very high. f legs very high during whole cop. c.5&sec. before 1st cop., 2-3 sec. between 1st and 2nd. & sang after cop 1stus, two perched for while, then flew off. male post cop. posture. now of the while.
