Feb 23 Weeks Bay, Isla San Cristobal, Galapagos.
Geithicus and Camarhynchus increase in #s;
the latter makes maximal #s in the forest below,
while Geithicus is common above. Myiarchus pets
out here, while warblers follow the same pattern
as Camarhynchus. Platyspiza were scattered in
this forest and the zone below, not nearly as common
as in Santa Cruz; Cactospiza is at maximal #s
at the top of the Cordia forest. Found two parrots
with Ceid beetles about 1/4 mile out of Progressor.
They were on a dead branch on a patch of cleared ground.
(Prob. Araura). The Geithicus I took were a matured
pair, and both bled backly when shot. The ♀ had a
1/2
