A platform at L5.24 that must be a rest platform, it has quite a bit of fecal material around it, is not very elaborate. 5:29 p.m., no birds on nest J6.5, but the eggs are warm, and at 5:31 p.m. both parents are in the willows at K6 defending. MF is working on the structure at K+ X7.17. Egg #5 & 6 hatched in nest T6.1, egg #9 missing, #7 pipped, #8-10 unmarked. Yng in nest marked L1. Both parents nearby but not vigorous in nest defense. The structure at K7.17 is about 1/2 inches high, no particula- shape, composed of both dead & green cat-tail leaves. It is on a dead cat-tail stem lying on its side. What may be the beginning of a ramp faces the west. The structure at K7.8 is almost completely gone but the one at K7.4 is still in good repair. The nest at J6.5 has been lined all the way around with
