Tag & seems to be staying on O.K. Readjusted the tag, that is moved the pin down to its middle, the overlap style at 10:00 p.m. the SE ♂ on nest J6.5. A ♀ Buddy was on the nest at J6.16 (7 eggs). ♂ stayed on nest while I worked the area. Nest I6.1, egg #3 pipped; eggs warm, bird off the nest. 10:05 p.m. ED ♂ on nest B 22- 3 yrs on nest, one was R1, the other got off before I got there, the 3rd bird from egg #2, marked R3. The ♀ came N from P16 mi in answer to a "pukho", leaving I yrng "underwing" at P16. A short time later I could not see any birds on platform at P16. 2. May 12 Lake Temescal, 420ft. Alameda Co., Calif.- At 5:33 a.m. SE ♂ feeding at L1, raised his tail coverts as I approached. The SE ♀ on nest P6.5. A moment later the SE ♂ "pukked", from G-8 or thereabouts. The M♀ was in her area "punk-unking", the SE ♂ came into her, something went on in there then they came out, the ♂ "braced" with neck feathers expanded, the ♀ chasing, giving a "punk-unk punk-unk", as they moved out of sight around the S side of the island. The SE ♀ from the nest replied with "punk-unk"
