Legs YG, pint tag secure. - volumes of eggs - from 5th clutch N pair JL - 1950 - #1 - 29.5 cc, #2 - 29.8 cc. - Egg #1 from third clutch - LT-SE, 1950 - 32.5 cc - Egg B from LT-SE, 1950 second clutch 34.8 cc. - egg #2 from 5th N clutch contained 4 & embryos, to be worked with later. Aug 29 Same locality - no spermatid cells visible - Bird 16 - little sign of meiosis in testes - many large gonial cells but showing no activity - shield flat - dated - 1-28-50. Bird 20 - sperm present but not abundant, little indication of meiosis or meiotic activity - shield greatly enlarged - dated 1-28-50 Bird 25 - sperm present and meiotic figure abundant in some tubules. shield swollen - dated 1-29-50 Bird 26 - few or no sperm present - some little evidence of meiosis - much debris, interstitial cells proliferated into some large groups shield swollen. Bird 28 - spermatie debris present, some possible meiosis but not abundant. Some large groups of interstitial cells but not as much so as in #26. - shield fairly well swollen, not as much so as #26.
