The Buddy nest at J6.22 is still in good shape and being used by the cools for some purpose. The nest at J7.21 tho in good shape, is so exposed from some recent washing of cat- tails by someone that I doubt it will have any future. Of the SW brood, one has a fairly dark bill, the other two still have quite orange bills. The nest at J6.5 is completely abandoned and completely gone. The nest at J6.1 is still extant, but may not be in use. The SW pair have a display platform at H6.15, just a collection of dried cat-tail leaves piled on some cat-tails broken down by someone wandering in the marsh. It is new since the 21st, as is the platform at L43. The deal at H7.24 that was merely an accumulation of cat-tail stems or- the 21st is now a very bulgeous nest with a ramp facing to the N. It seems to be nearly as large as the J6.18 nest: Both parents are out in the water tho ? "gulguriq", the♀ "poonking". Also the 3 yng are nearly "inhewiping" - when the♀ turns to feed the yng she shifts from the "poonk" to "punk". The "poonk" is accompanied by leaf pocking but the "punk" is not. The H7.24
