It is getting dim. 5:25 p.m. - the ? was at K28, on the edge of the cat-tails, the ? came charging into her for about 125, giving the "Ruk-ruk"-"Rukz-Rukz" deal as he came, they vanished into the cat-tails a moment, then he came out first and she was close behind, he chased her and she gave that laughing sound, diving twice to avoid his too close pursuit - finally they both stopped at green at J26. I think their next nest will be in the same general area as the others. I'm not convinced that a predator got the eggs, the fact the nest is still in use, or seems to be and the fact it was little of any damaged makes me wonder if one of the ?s. didn't pull the eggs into the water.
