The SE ♀ flew right on top of the M♂ for about 50 feet just before the latter dived. As SE ♀ returned to the channel, he wandered around amidst the ♀ Mallard w/ his brood of ten, showing no antagonism, before ging back into his area. The M♀ at her screening place was unmolested. 11:00 a.m. M♀ attacked and chased by SE ♂, without much effect. Then the SE ♀ joined her mate and a semi- paired display followed. But the M♂ still did not get routed from her area.
