Of the two "poonk" like notes of the female, apparently the high one is a plaintive note, denoting fear or uncertainty, whereas the lower note is an aggressive note, indicating positive action generally of an aggressive nature. Of the foods put in the courtyard yesterday, the grass is pretty well cleaned up and the "tobacco" stuff so had been poched at at least a few leaves have been torn some while most of the leaves have not been touched. The poison hemlock and mushroom show no signs of being fed upon.
