Bird wandered over to Bird resting on some grass about 10 feet from the SE corner. They set about doing some billing, almost immediately Bird came running over to attack Bird and chase him away from Bird. After Bird limped on Bird indicated no further interest in him. Bird [crossed out] P - died today, has YG legs, frontal shield 7#, adrenal about 5 times normal size, both adrenals saved in Bovin's Fix. Testes small. 4 flakes taken from nasal passages, 5 flakes taken from thoracic area, 3 of them from around the syrinx and 1 each from a cavity by the head of the femur humerus. Gizzard contained a very extensive area worked over by nematodes, with nematodes being found throughout, an [crossed out] normal area about 5 mm across indicated the long time presence of a normal sized ulcer, but they had spread from there, to cover about 70 % of the stomach lining. Throughout the lining was separated from the mucosa and the characteristic hemorrhages were present throughout. The whole bird and especially the gizzard had a particularly rotten odor. Forepart of body in alcohol.
