While wading and searching a pair of birds remained on the open water nearby, showing a little concern but making no demonstration. Just now one bird was heard crowing while an accompanying bird was giving a "pools" note! The pinned bird in the N area was heard giving a low and a high note, but both with a nasal quality. Incidentally, the crowing first heard was by a bird lately moved from new D14 to E25. Three birds came back along the east side to C17, whereupon the S turned upon the 3rd bird and drove it away.
