Illinois 950 Eulais americana 191 Feb 1 Univ. Calif Campus, Alameda Co., Calif. Xc, ♂, no flukes or nematodes. Syringis in Bonins, leg, wing, cloaca + bill saved. Fat layer under skin, in generally good shape, ♀/♂ weight 5/8 grams, ♂, 1 fluke in nasal area, 2 in [illegible] syringeal area, nematode ulcer in geizzard. Bursa white flabby, 42 mm long. Syringis small. Fat under skin and lots of fat around intestines. ♀/♂- weight 491 grams, 1 ♀ fluke in nasal area, many (25-30) mites in nasal passages, no flukes in body cavity, nematode ulcer present in menal place. Syringis small as for males. guts saved for parasite examination, tests not saved, cloaca saved, narrow pin like 32 mm long. All the nematode ulcers are alike, a blood colored "scab" of the gizzard lining with little reddish worm burrows radiating out from it, generally about 20 mm from the pyloris. Often the ulcers are 10 mm or more across, with the bulk of the worms under the "scab". A few are out in the burrows working in the mucosa, and those are particularly difficult to remove. Feb 2 Same locality - 6/10-weight 463 after being without food or water for nearly 24 hours. Frontal shield 45S, bursa 26 mm, gray, flabby, 3 flukes in nasal passages. Nematode
