July 19 Jewel Lake, Tilden Park, Contra Costa Co., Calif. 5 to do some house cleaning (born H12) 3:57 - B is now at F2/1 - still with 1 yng trailing her another about 4 feet behind, and the other 2 clear over at H2/3. - B is not moving straight, but rather zig-zagging around picking up food. S is (4:01) again at H12 - feeding there. 4:02 - B is now at D20 - with 4 yng momentarily closely grouped. (Boy would I like to have my body ready to go now to catch those young) 4:04 - S "punked" again and is moving along cover at G/16 - B is out of sight towards B2/1 - but 2 yng are out at C20; (4:05), now they too are in. S is working unaccompanied along H17 - 4:10 - S is still working along cat-tails at G/6. 4:18 - Y, G/B + P/B are feeding together at G7, G is at F5 with R/B, S/P is resting with a turtle at E. 4:19 - G/S is moving over to join S/P. 4:45 - a few minutes ago G/P swiped - coming up it brought some pond weed filaments hooked onto the wire end of the tag which gave it trouble for about 30 seconds - better see if I can't design a deal eliminating that wire end. - At 4:35 B moved over to L26 with her brood and then down to L20 at 4:43 - S turned up at H20 - now 4:51 - S is busily feeding 1 yng at L20.25 - while 1 more is swimming across to join the B w/1 yng at L20.3 - 4:55 - B is cutting across at J21 w/3 yng while S stays at L20 w/1 yng - B at J23 stopped to feed one yng and is now
