5244. Arnica foliosa, Nutt. nearest but x glutinose. This plant has the same tack-like glands as 5541, even to the akenes, but x has narrower leaves, more nerved from base and more vaginate, and with whiter pappus. Plant not quite so viscid above.

Also few flowered, generally 11 or less; akenes attenuate towards apex, not sharply costate, longer than pappus.
