RARE PLANTS OF EASTERN QUEBEC. COLLECTED AND DISTRIBUTED BY J. F. COLLINS AND M. L. FERNALD. DURING the past season in the eastern portion of the Province of Quebec — the counties of Temiscouata, Rimouski, Gaspé and Bona- venture — many plants of unusual botanical interest or rarity were found ; and, whenever possible, duplicate specimens of these species were secured. This duplicate material selected and prepared with great care is now distributed into uniform sets which will be ready for delivery on November 1st. Many of the species were secured with extreme difficulty and at great expense, and only rare or little-known plants have been admitted to the series. On this account it is necessary to charge for the sets a rate somewhat above that ordinarily asked for plants of eastern America. The sets consisting of the plants enumerated in the following list will be shipped, with transportation charges prepaid, in the order of receipt of subscriptions, for twenty dollars ($20) each.
