Fleet 1965 STAGES ACCOUNT MAMMALS Baker Island 18 Sept. Four seen in good condition.One Mus.m. 25 Sept. Howland Island 18Sept. Seven cats (total separate sightings) seen all in good condition. Hull Island 28Sept. Five dogs (3 in S.T. colony on NE shore, and 2 in S.T.colony on SW shore) and two cats in SW colony. Rattus seen frequently in S.T. colonies, and in village. Phoenix Island 30 Sept. Approximately 350 rabbits w/ light to medium fat. Christmas Island 28-30th. Cats abundant. 20+ flesh samples taken. MOTU Upua: Mus murinus size modest seen as well as rats that are size of R. exulans. 30 Oct. LOST ISLAND: 4 rats sp! Fleet 1965 SPECIES ACCOUNT REPTILES-GREEN SEA TURTLE Hull Island Large & turtle (4'x4') found at edge of Naevola on ocean beach at Sooty Tern colony. Remains of 4 turtles found on ridge slopes at new S.T. colony. Phoenix Island 30 Sept. One dead adult (3'x3') in center of L Frigate colony (rotting) and one dead adult (3'x3') bird lagoon. Six hatchling (live) plus one dead one found at top edge of beach near camp.
